Tasting Notes and Description
Long Beach Chenin Blanc 2021
An appealing light straw colour. Light with lovely ripe, attractive rounded fruit. Fresh floral nose and an exciting acid balance.
Enjoy now with seafood, smoked salmon, roast chicken and pork.
Long Beach Chenin Blanc is an easy drinking, good value for money white.
Robertson is nestled in a valley of abundance, from the sun-drenched mountain vineyards growing select varietals to plentiful river valley vineyards heavy with fruit. But more than the land and the climate, it's the people who've always been generous. In fact, many of the farms and farmers have been supplying Robertson Winery for decades. And because the rhythms of the seasons inform everything that they do, the best grapes are picked at the right time, pressed, fermented and blended by their winemakers, the result is award-winning wines you can't help but want to share.
The fruit was sourced from 35 specially selected grape growing families in the Robertson Valley. Vines are grown in deep cool alluvial soil that is rich in lime and receives an annual rainfall of only 280 mm per year. Our Chenin Blanc vines are plantedon the riverbanks with a row direction from northwest to southeast to utilise the prevailing sea breeze.
